Lord Sugar: Apprentice star mocked after making ‘desperate’ request to Graham Norton Show on Twitter

Lord Alan Sugar is sent after sending a tweet urging Graham Norton to book him as a guest on his BBC One chat show.

The business mogul tweeted the message on Monday, Jan. 10, telling the host, “It’s been ages since I’ve been on your show.”

Sugar told Norton it was “about time” he gave his series The Apprentice “a boost after so long.”

He said the new series, launched Thursday, January 6, “broke all records with audience figures.”

Sugar added, “I’m in Miami and can zoom in anytime. You might find me a little boring, but I have some good anecdotes. CAN YOU DM ME. “

Shortly after sharing the post, Sugar was teased in the comments section, with many sharing their own direct requests to Norton.

Others thought that instead of wanting Norton to celebrate The apprenticeThe high audience figures of, the businessman was actually arguing to help promote the series.

“I’m breaking viewing records but need a helping hand, Lord one of your apprentices could have done a better job looking for a promo,” one person replied.

“Why does he need a boost if he breaks viewing records?” Another asked.

“Clearly not breaking a record if you have to resort to begging for publicity,” one person asked, while many others called the message “desperate”.

However, there was a contingent of fans who praised Sugar for his honesty.

One Twitter user wrote: “I actually like @ Lord_Sugar’s tweet that’s right, it’s down to earth with none of the usual BS that other celebrities might do to be on a TV show to sell their stuff… ”
