NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – The Baylor Bears take on Ole ‘Miss on New Years Day, a day many fans have been waiting for. But before the game started, Fox 44 stopped in to talk to a few fans during the tailgate.

“I’m so excited you didn’t miss out on games like Sugar Bowl, when I was in school we weren’t making bowls so for us to be here is gold. We will obviously be wearing a gold shirt. We’re excited, ”says Baylor Fan, Clark Dalton.

Clark Dalton and his friends have a tradition that every time the bears go to a boules game they say they have to attend.

“We started when we went to the Texas Bowl against Illinois ten years ago with Robert Griffin. We went to the Fiesta Bowl and the Alamo Bowl. We went to the Sugar Bowl two years ago, so we go there every year, ”says Dalton.

Fans packed Champion Square where they enjoyed live entertainment from the Baylor Spirit team and the Golden Wave band.

To Clark, it meant a lot to him to see fans of all ages showing up in New Orleans and supporting the bears.

“I mean, to watch younger guys come in, I know I’m a fan, but watching the younger guys go to school, become fans and love it, you can kind of add to the Baylor family, c ‘is awesome, ”says Dalton.

Fans like Andrick, Adian and Aksel have a long history of pride for Baylor.

“I’ve been going to Baylor, actually, and we’ve been going to Baylor since we were little kids, we’re very excited because our dad was a Baylor alumnus, so it’s really exciting for us,” Baylor fans say, Andrick, Adian, and Aksel.
